Brad Woods Recording

Storyteller Brad Woods and brother Greg (percussion) performed to a packed studio audience at TrueMusic Studio in Limehouse Saturday (Feb 17). The live performance was captured by Tim Alberts for a future CD project currently in production. Also performing was fellow Wooden Trio member Kevin Morse.
The Great Wooden Trio were back the next day to continue production on their upcoming debut CD project (as yet untitled).
Acton Concert - Saturday February 24th - 7:00 pm
Come on out on Saturday the 24th of February. Enjoy some music, storytelling, and some fine refreshments. Joining us for this event will be Brad and Greg Woods from the Great Wooden Trio. Brad is a storyteller (in the vein of Garrison Keillor or Stuart MacLean) and Greg is a fine percussionist.
Samantha Harber of Guelph will also be featured. Samantha has a wonderful voice, and is a talented songwriter. She will be singing and playing a set of her own songs at the piano.
The coffeehouse is a fundraiser for the Acton Foodbank, and will be held at a location to be announced…
The Saga Continues
With most of the basic tracks done, it is finally time for the final vocal tracks (lead and harmony). We are blessed on this project to have Marian Butler singing harmony. We’ve had a great time playing coffee houses and other concerts with her in the last year or so - she certainly brings a new dimension to our sound.
Glen Soderholm and David White are also planning to come by some day soon to record some velvet vocals! They have been truly supportive of our music since the start. If you are not familiar with Glen’s music and ministry, visit his site at GlenSoderholm.com. We’re sure to have some laughs in the studio when they come by - I’ll be sure to add some photos.
Christmas Wishes
Another year has come and gone, and in the words of John Lennon
“and what have you done?
another year over
and a new one just begun..”
The time has certainly slipped away this year - the new album which we had hoped to have finished by October still has lots of bare spots. The new year brings a renewed committment to complete the project as quickly as possible, without of course cutting any corners or taking any shortcuts
As well as the new CD project I am hoping to re-vitalize the Moonlit Music website. Check back soo to see photos of the recording sessions and perhaps some video too.
